Site Remediation
Site Remedial work can take the form of three types of undertaking: a site cleanup, a decommissioning or a restoration.
Site cleanup resolves an existing contaminant problem through its removal, on-site management, or isolation on site. It can be appropriate when land use will not change and may be conducted without any external involvement. Decommissioning often involves redevelopment and a probable change in land use. It includes cleanup, regulatory liaison and the protection of public safety. The public may be involved in a decommissioning because of the wider implications of the undertaking.
Site restoration addresses an ongoing safety or aesthetic concern after a cleanup or decommissioning. The scope can involve large civil works or may amount to simple backfilling, grading and re-vegetation.
In any of these situations, Sendex can act as general contractor responsible for conducting all remedial work, or as agent for the client in a contract administration and supervision capacity.
